Second Round Sectional Playoffs: at Kendall 2 - Lyons 7
The season came to an end on Monday (Memorial Day) as the Eagles lost to an outstanding Pavilion Golden Gophers team. They were focused and earned the final result, going on, and competing in the Finals this Thursday. Junior John Steadman started the game for the Eagles and pitched into the third inning when Mark Driesel came on in relief to finish the game. Devin Schaefer tripled off the right field wall to score Scott Batty from second. Schaefer was 2 for 3, with 1 RBI, for the day. Batty had reached second on a double down the right foul line. Senior catcher Cody Trimm was 2 for 4, with a double to deep right center field. Zach Romano, and Rob Jones each had 1 hit apiece.

Second Round Sectional Playoffs: at Kendall 7 - Lyons 2
Kendall is seeding #3 for the Sectionals in Class CC and Lyons is seeded #6. Tim Steadman pitched a complete game for the victory. He gave up only 2 runs, on 5 hits, 8 walks, and 8 strikeouts. The team scored 2 runs in each of the first three innings to take a 6 - 1 lead. In the first inning with Tim Steadman on first, after a lead-off single to left field, Zach Romano's double to left center scored Steadman from first base. Rob Jones was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Cody Trimm was 2 for 4 with a run scored, and a double. Scott Batty was 2 for 3 with a double, an RBI, and a run. Record: 12 wins and 4 losses. This was a great win for the team as they stayed focused throughout. It is now onto the semi-finals on Monday, May 28th, as the highest seed left remaining in the bracket. The other higher seeds each were upset in this round. Next game: Monday, May 28th, at a place and time TBA. We will play #7 seed Pavilion, who defeated #2 seed Red Creek.

BASEBALL SECTIONALS: The Eagles are seeded #3 of 13 teams in Class CC. The team will play a home game on Thursday, May 24th, at 4:30 PM. We will play the winner of the #6 Lyons vs. #11 Canisteo-Greenwood game, which will be played at Midlakes High School this afternoon. The Eagles are pleased with the #3 seed and hope to do well in the tournament. Come out and cheer for us on Thursday. GOOD LUCK TEAM!!!!!! UPDATE: The Eagles advance to the Semi-finals against Pavilion - Let's go EAGLES!!!!

Saturday, May 19: at Attica 24 - Kendall 11
The Eagles lead off the game with 6 runs in the first inning and Attica tied the game in the bottom of the second. It was all downhill after that. Attica's bats came alive and starting hitting the ball around and making a lot happen. They ended up with 13 hits, 4 were homeruns, for the day. The Eagles tried there best to stay in the game. The team used 3 different pitchers to change things, but with no luck. For the Eagles, Mike Sheffield was 2 for 3 with a homerun, a double, and 3 RBIs. Cody Trimm was 3 for 4 with a double, and 2 RBIs. Scott Batty and Tim Steadman were each 2 for 4.

The 2 PM game at Pembroke was cancelled and the Eagles took a 7 - 0 forfeit.

Friday, May 18: at Kendall 5 - Attica 2
"AN OUTSTANDING GAME ON A VERY SPECIAL DAY" Senior Day - Before the game, 8 Seniors and their parents were honored. Each player and their parents were announced and walked down between 2 lines of JV and remaining Varsity players. Each player was given a baseball that their teammates had previously signed, and a bag of goodies. Many pictures were taken as the players prepared for their last regular season home game. Senior Tim Steadman pitched a complete game for the win, giving up 8 hits, 3 strikeouts and 3 walks. Tim was also 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Scott Batty was 2 for 3, with one RBI.

Monday, May 14: Kendall 8 - at Holley 1
The Eagles were lead by pitcher Tim Steadman as he dominated the Hawks. He allowed only 4 hits, 9 strikeouts, gave up 4 walks, and only 1 run. He was 3 for 4 with the bat, and scored 1 run. Cody Trimm was 1 for 2 with 2 walks. Devin Schaefer was 2 for 3, with a double, 3 RBIs, and scored 2 runs. Scott Batty was2 for 4 with a double and 1 run scored. "When the team is focused, fielding ground balls correctly, making good throws and good decisions, hitting the ball hard, and scoring runs, they are fun to watch. The team needs your support."

Friday, May 11: Kendall 10 - Byron-Bergen 2
A Total Team Victory: everyone contributed to the successful win...................
The Eagles broke open a very close game with 5 runs in the fifth inning. Sophomore Mark Driesel pitched a complete game giving up only 3 hits, 9 strikeouts, and 8 walks for the victory. Senior Cody Trimm was 3 for 3, hitting a homerun, scored 2 runs, and 3 RBIs. Senior Scott Batty was 2 for 3 with a double. Junior Zach Romano had a walk, and also hit a 3 run homerun in the fifth inning. Senior Tim Steadman was 2 for 5, with a double and 1 RBI. Junior Rob Jones hit a double and also reach base on a fielder's choice and an infield error.

Wednesday, May 9: at Kendall 6 - Alexander 1
After losing at Alexander yesterday, 5 - 0, to the best pitcher in the Genesee Region, the Eagles were once again ready to play. Alexander scored a first inning run, and then the Eagles shut them out the rest of the way. Stranding 5 runners in the 2nd and 3rd innings, set the team up for a big 6 run fourth inning. John Steadman pitched a complete game for the win on 10 strikeouts, 2 walks, and 5 hits. He also was 2 for 4 in the leadoff position. Tim Steadman was also 2 for 4 with a key double and 1 RBI. Cody Trimm was 2 for 4 with a homerun and 2 RBIs. Ryan Mitchell was 1 for 1, with 2 walks and scored the winning run on a fielders choice hit by Rob Jones.

Tuesday, May 8: at Alexander 5 - Kendall 0
The Eagles faced the best pitcher in the Genesee Region and came away with only 1 hit. Zach Leitten of Alexander faced only 23 batters. John Steadman got the team's only hit, leading off the game. Leitten sat down 17 batters on strikeouts. Tim Steadman pitched a great game for the Eagles allowing only 8 hits, 2 walks, and 7 strikeouts.

Monday, May 7: at Oakfield-Alabama 12 - Kendall 2
Having not played since last Tuesday, the Eagles took a 2 run lead in the top of the first inning. Oakfield answered with a run in the bottom of the inning. Over the rest of the game, the Eagles just could not get runners home. There were 12 runners stranded on base. John Steadman was the designated hitter and was 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI, and scoring a run. Cody Trimm was 3 for 4 with an RBI.

Tuesday, May 1: at Kendall 4 - Notre Dame 3
Going to the bottom of the 6th inning the Eagles were behind 3 - 2. Cody Trimm lead off with a double to left-center field. He advanced to third on a ground out to second by Mike Sheffield. Ryan Mitchell's infield hit to second resulted in an error and he was safe at first scoring Trimm from third to tie the game at 3 runs. Mitchell advanced to second on Tyler Schultz's ground out to the pitcher. Mitchell stole third and scored the winning run on pinch hitter Zach Romano's single to right field. Pitcher Tim Steadman, in the top of the seventh inning struck out the next 3 Notre Dame batters for the win. Tim Steadman was the winning pitcher with a complete game. He gave up 3 runs (0 earned), on 4 hits, 4 walks, and 13 strikeouts. Cody Trimm was 2 for 2 with a double, a walk, and 2 RBIs.

Monday, April 30: at Kendall 7 - Wheatland-Chili 3
After spotting Wheatland-Chili a 3 - 0 lead, the Eagles answered with 4, 2, and 1 runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings. Sophomore Mark Driesel pitched a complete game for the win. He allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, and had 11 strikeouts. Senior Tim Steadman was 2 for 4 with a double, and scored 2 runs. John Steadman was 2 for 3. Mike Sheffield was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Tyler Schultz was 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs.

Wednesday, April 23: Lyndonville 13 at Kendall 5
The Eagles gave up 4 runs in 3rd and 3 runs in the 4th innings and could not fully recover. Pitcher Mike Sheffield pitched the first 3 innings and Tyler Schultz completed the game. Many of Lyndonville's hit were just out of our range and in the gaps. Seniors Tim Steadman and Devin Schaefer were each 2 for 3 with doubles. Tim scored 3 runs. Tyler Schultz also hit a double.

Saturday, April 21: at Kendall 11 - Elba 5 After relieving the final 2 innings in the first game, John Steadman started this game and pitched 6 innings for the win. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, 4 walks, and 9 strikeouts. Tyler Schultz pitched the 7th inning. Cody Trimm was 3 for 4 with a double, 1 stolen base, and 3 RBIs. Tim Steadman was 2 for 4 with 2 stolen bases and 1 RBI.

Saturday, April 21: at Kendall 8 - Byron-Bergen 5
Starting pitcher Senior Tim Steadman pitched 5 innings giving up 5 runs (2 earned), 9 strikeouts, and 3 walks. Brother John finished up the final 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. Senior Cody Trimm went 2 for 3 with his second homerun in 2 days, scored 3 runs, and had 2 RBIs. Senior Tyler Schultz went 2 for 3, with 2 stolen bases.

Friday, April 20: at Kendall 7 - Pembroke 0
In the first inning, Senior Cody Trimm hit a homerun with Devin Schaefer and Scott Batty on for 3 runs. Next batter, Mike Sheffield also hit a homer to take a 4 - 0 lead. Devin Schafer was 4 for 4 with 1 RBI. Scott Batty had 2 hits. Trimm finished the day with 4 runs batted in. The winning pitcher was Mike Sheffield: pitching 5 innings, allowed 4 hits, 5 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Junior Mike Love finished the final 2 innings.

Thursday, April 19: at Kendall 7 - Holley 6
In the Varsity's first game of the season, Zach Romano had the game winning hit and RBI in the bottom of the 7th with the bases loaded. Scott Batty scored from third base for the winning run to end the game and the celebration began.
Starting pitcher Mark Driesel delivered for 6 innings and John Steadman pitched the 7th for the win. Scott Batty was 2 for 4 with 1 double. Cody Trimm was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. Zach Romano and Tim Steadman each had 2 RBIs.
